Hive Unfollow Check

See who you follow on Hive that does not follow you back. Free, no login, no keys.

1. Type your Hive username

The page reads your public follower and following lists from a Hive node. You never type a key or password. It cannot unfollow anyone for you.

What's happening on Hive (click to open)

Posts are written by the Hive community and are not chosen or checked by this page. They open on the site you picked under "Open profiles on".

What the page does

You type a Hive account name. Your browser asks a public Hive node for that account's follower and following lists. These lists are already public on the Hive blockchain. The page compares them in your browser. There is no server of ours and no database.

What leaves your browser

  • The account name you type, sent to a public Hive node (api.hive.blog, and if it is down, other public nodes). The node operators can see the request, as with any website that reads Hive.
  • Normal web requests to GitHub Pages (where this page is hosted).
  • A visit counter (GoatCounter). It counts page views without cookies and without personal profiles. It does not receive the username you type.

What is stored

Only in your browser, on your device: the list of profiles you opened with the time you opened them, your page-size choice, the Hive site you chose, and whether you closed the live blockchain block. This is stored under your username so it carries over when you come back. It is never sent anywhere. "Reset progress" deletes the opened list. Clearing your browser's site data deletes everything. The follower lists themselves are not stored; you check again each visit.

The "What's happening on Hive" block

Only when you open it, the page asks a public Hive node for a list of public posts (trending, hot, latest, or the latest from @katerinaramm). No username of yours is sent. Titles are shown as plain text, and the links open an outside site.

The "Live on the Hive blockchain" block

This block is open when the page loads, so the page asks a public Hive node for the newest blocks and counts the actions in them (votes, posts, replies, transfers, follows and unfollows). While it is open it refreshes about every 15 seconds for a few minutes, and pauses when the tab is hidden. If you close the block, it stops asking, and your browser remembers that you closed it. No username of yours is sent, and the page keeps no account names from the blocks.

The share picture

The picture is drawn in your browser and is not uploaded anywhere. It shows numbers and, if you leave the box ticked, your own account name. It never shows account names from your lists.

Passwords and keys

The page never asks for, receives or stores a password, private key or Hive Keychain access. It cannot post, vote, follow or unfollow.

Outside links

Profile links open PeakD, Ecency or Hive.blog. The "Post on X" button opens X. The footer links to other tools and projects by the same author (including the author's Hive profile). Those are outside sites with their own policies.

Children

The page is not aimed at children.
